Channel 4 motoring series Deals on Wheels presented by Mike Brewer and Richard Sutton. Series 2 ep1. part 2 Apologies for the poor quality Date: Wednesday 15th July 1998
Hi! In terms of updates on Deals on Wheels, I've finally found the listings for the last 2001 series. It ran from 3rd August 2001 to 7th September 2001. The third, 1999 series ended on 21st of September 1999. What's known about the series is that there's a currently unnamed episode which featured the Toyota Sera, Fiat Coupe, "Star buy" being the Audi A3, "Deal of the week" being a Seat Ibiza and a new "Not to be missed" being a Land Rover Freelander. That's also alongside the fact that on the 5th episode (31st August 2001), some person called Cher from Essex tried to sell her Suzuki Vitara and "David" looked for a environmentally friendly car under £2,500. I found all those listings on BFI's collections website, so now I'm currently using it to fix up my current guide with a shed load of new information from there, which also included the original run time.

Oh right thanks very much for those dates it's really appriciated. For some reason I thought Deals on Wheels ran until 2002, but maybe that was Driven. I got all of the 1990s dates but couldn't find many from the 2000s series apart from some uploads on youtube.

And as for Deals On Wheels, thanks to @assortedvideos4899 I was able to properly document S5 of Deals On Wheels. The "lost" episode is S5 E6 of Deals On Wheels - 7th September 2001.

I just noticed the episode was interlaced, is there a way I could help restoring it a bit to make it 50fps and in higher quality? KZitem uses a very lossy compression algorithm which makes the audio use a worse bitrate than the original result and turns the 576i50 result into 480p25 - effectively ruining the video a lot.

You could if you want to I don't mind. I hadn't noticed it was interlaced, I didn't know upscaling it to 50fps would make the quality better, I always capture and encode my videos as the framerate that it was recorded in, which in my case it 25fps for PAL vdeo. I just wish my Panasonic DVD/VHS combi recorder was still working as it does a good job at stablising bad jumpy tapes and does seem to correct a "warping" or tearing effect at the top of the picture, plus it had S-video output that I can input to my capture device. All I have now that works is a box standard Bush video and for some reason using a composite cable I am gettng a yellowy tint to the picture which I suspect is either down to the signal or the cable. I have a habit of breaking things lol.
