Good job. Four-pole brush motors are just as powerful as a brushless motor.

@dean doherty love the videos. Big fan. To make your life easier could I suggest solder wick or braid. Handy stuff and makes quick work of making new connections.

If you use the front camera on your phone it's usually lower resolution and the Internet might cope better if the signal is bad

Hey dean. Dumb question. I have a theory that they made impact drivers basically because most people are too lazy to use the clutch on their drill driver properly. I understand why you'd want an impact *wrench*, i just can't understand the use case (other than the its smaller and lighter excuse i hear, which is fine if you're a tradie holding it all day). I see you using the same drill driver I have. The bosch professional. Is there a reason you use a drill over an impact in this scenario? Or is it just habit/preference? Can you make it make sense? Cheers bloke. 🤠👍

It's simple. An impact driver grips the head of the screw far better. A drill uses torque and easily slip and strip out the screw head. Especially a larger or tight screw. An impact driver uses sideways impact force, so it keeps gripping the screw even when under large losds. Try drive a 4inch screw overhead with your arm fully extended, impossible with a drill, but no problem for a impact driver.

@@deandohertygreaser thanks for the answer. I don't get it though. They're both still spinning a rod essentially. Just one with constant torque, the other not. They use the same screws and driver tips sooo. I'm still confused. Why does something with intermittent torque not cam out? Doesn't make sense to my first year uni physics brain... 🙃

your not the only one. we took in 10 to sell, sold 4 all 4 returned faulty, like you say changing direction when running. Piece of p. Had to send the rest back to dewalt, not worth selling them. But that is only the new DCD100 drill, the rest of dewalts drill are quite decent, the dcd796 is a good drill for the money, just dont use hammer action mode.
