It's unbelievable that almost the entire cast is dead. I saw this at a drive in theater in 1981 when I was thirteen. It got trashed by the reviews but it's improved with age like a fine wine.

All those huge names and huge shining stars gone but not forgotten. I always loved the final scene where they're all drinking champagne you can just see how much fun they are having and they're just a bunch of friends drinking champagne having laughs and there just happens to be a few cameras around. I've seen this movie and its sequel dozens upon dozens of times in my life. I'll be 40 years old in January and I can remember renting this movie on VHS from the video store every Friday for at least 2 years during my teenage years when my mom would take us all to the video store after we did a good week in school. I love watching this movie still to this day. And it's a shame that I didn't get to meet Mr Burt Reynolds because that was on my bucket list of things to do but I couldn't manage to find a way to meet him. He was such a great man and I admired him greatly for his battle with prescription medications and other forms of drugs. I had a similar battle with prescription medication for about eight years and his story kind of help me pull myself out of it. Rest in peace Bandit that's Smokies not on your tail anymore

Truly one of my favourite movies , I watched this, also number 2 over and over again and I still laugh. I used to pretend I was chaos at school lol. It looked like they all had a ball making this too. I hear a remake is in the works ... it will never touch this , R.I.P Burt. Dom and all the other cannonballers that are gone

Pure joy, laughter, and plain old silly fun from an unbelievable cast of legends. Hal Needham and Burt should have made an additional movie just showing all the blooper scenes. Being on set must have been side splitting and impossible to keep a straight face with all the high jinx and someone always wanting to pull a fast one attempting to screw up another’s lines. Reminiscing pure gold.
