Saw this clip in the early 70's DMH and had milk coming outta my nose. Now that I'm 40 yrs older/wiser, I never swallow anything just before seeing a Jonathan Winters moment. He and Skelton were - without a doubt - the most beloved of the "old school" comedians. RIP, Jonny...

Nice! Anyone else remember in the Rankin/Bass animated series "Tales of the Wizard of Oz," how they had the Wicked Witch of the West sound like Maude Frickert? It helped that a man did the Witch's voice (the late Larry "Yukon Cornelius" Mann, whom also voiced Rusty the Tin Man, Topsy Turvy, Desmond Dragon and a few others in that show.)

Interesting... because most of this was scripted, which means Winters could deliver a pre-planned line as well as he could improvise. The word "acting" comes to mind.
