I love and treasure your Jade Videos Dave. I hope this man is at Stoddard Wells this weekend for I really look forward to checking out his Jade Stash. BTW that Big Sur Jade palm stone was a steal at $20. The White Mountains in Inyo Co. are beautiful. Where he's taking about is close to The Bristlecone Forest (5500 yo pine trees) and Cerro Gordo- Ghost Town Living.

Bowenite is layers of serpentine and Jadite that have been compressed under high pressure through geological activity forming green bands of light and dark and translucent green areas, It has become rare because it is mainly found in Namibia and those areas have been made National parks so no one is now allowed to take any rocks from there.

I dunno where you got the bowenite/jadeite idea, but OK bro. Come to NorCal and I'll show you mountains of it.

I've always known Bowenite to be a gem quality serpentine. Consistent, translucent, deep green. Rather soft at 4.5 mohs, but takes an amazing, waxy shine.

@@mushroomsmokev2 if what you have is 4.5 mohs then it aint bowenite.

@@BlazingShackles That was just my best guess after working it. Maybe it was 5
