EDIT: some of y'all in the replies need to learn to behave yourselves. @@davidcattin7006 - God changed his mind at least 19 times that are documented in Scripture, such as in Exodus 32:14: ““So the Lord changed his mind about the terrible disaster he had threatened to bring on his people.” The fact that God is completely sovereign (all powerful) does not mean that he always chooses to exercise total control over all events. Therefore, praying for God to protect people from a natural disaster is neither rude, nor “suggesti[ng] that he change his mind.” God’s character does not change, he is always holy, always just, always merciful, etc. But he has, does, and can change his mind. If you dispute that, you’re calling the Bible a lie, at least these verses: Jeremiah 29:16 Numbers 23:19 1 Samuel 15:29 Isaiah 31:2 2 Corinthians 1:19 Jonah 4:2 Exodus 32:12 Amos 7:3 Amos 7:6 Jonah 3:9 Jonah 3:10 Jeremiah 18:8 Jeremiah 26:3 Jeremiah 26:13 Jeremiah 42:10 2 Samuel 24:16 Jeremiah 18:10 Ezekiel 7:22 More details here: bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God-Changing-His-Mind

@@MarioGoatse A god must exist, for natural law itself could be considered a god. The question isn't whether or not god exists, but whether or not god is a being a person could appeal to. It may be frightening, but a personal god is, ultimately, better than a god that's incapable of caring at all. Now the question is, why would a caring god allow or cause evil things to happen? The problem is this relies on a human understanding of evil, & as such it puts god on the same level as humans. But god, in whatever form it exists, is above humanity, just as humanity is above its own creations.

Religion is a superstition. These people are just terrified of the realization that no one is in control and events are random. There is no god its just a superstitious way of thinking

Atheism is a religion of hatred, expressed by those who are hateful. Christianity is a doctrine of hope, peace and love. The evidence and proof of these facts are very obvious on this page.

God’s blessings upon this young man. He knew who to reach out to at this darkest hour. I’m praying these people in that tornados path were safe. You can replace stuff but not friends and loved ones. My prayers and thoughts to all those who’ve been affected by these devastating storms.

I'm neither an American nor a strong believer. But the pride I feel for this man's humanity in today's world is inspiring. In a time of so much misinformation and MSM distrust, to have this man just take the time to pray a personal prayer for his fellow man and his own humanity, is nothing short of ultimate Class!

Matt Laubhan did exactly what needed to be done. The "shocking" thing is that it made news that a meteorologist prayed on national TV for the safety of people in danger. Glory to God, Amen.

The most simple prayer I've heard, and yet it feels so real on live TV. Bravo to the reporter.
