I don't know why, but Dearest has always had a very bizarre sound to it that I could not reproduce. I thought it had something to do with the tuning, but I guess it simply is Buddy's strumming that makes it unique. Anyways, thank you Colin for the videos. I cannot overstate how grateful I am for the lessons on Buddy Holly and more generally for the channel content. I have been in awe of Buddy's music for a few years, and having someone helping us fans breaking down the guitar parts is just priceless

@@kevincasson9848 Howdy from North Carolina I didn't even know what down strumming was a thing as a kid ever since I've been playing since I was 7 years old I'm 21 now and I've always strummed guitar like that

@@southernpride2003 Incredible my mate. I'm 40 and find it so hard to play all down strokes. Lol...Serious, bless the skill you have. Us British guitarists find it allmost impossible to play, ( especially accoustic) guitar continuously down strokes!. However, Holly was the master!!♡

That's one of my favorite Buddy Holly songs and I've never seen a lesson for it online! Thank you for making lessons on so many of my favorites! This will be a fun one to learn!
