There's indeed literature in eastern Assyrian vernacular Suret from the 17th century,: Introduction Religious POETRY IN VERNACULAR SYRIAC FROM NORTHERN lRAQ by Alessandro Mengozzi The earliest attested texts in Vernacular Syriac 1 are religious poems belonging to the dorektha 2 genre and circulating among East-Syrian communities in Northern Iraq. Our direct knowledge of this kind of literature has significantly improved during the last few decades, thanks to the publication of a number of dorekyatha: a collection of poems by Israel of Alqosh and Joseph of Telkepe gives us an insight into the literature of the 17th century

every 1 knows Shabo is a lackey, or to be more polite: he does not bite the hand that feeds him, he should invest in becoming a priest in the syriac church

I would also like to add that indeed there's literature in western Surayt from the 19th century written by Esha'io of Qellith, he wrote among others the Story of Ahiqar the wise, he wrote on Sinbad, on saint john fumo ddahbo / Chrysostom I think, on qellith and the geography around it. According to Shabo Talay, millions of Assyrians and Babylonians in the eighth century before Jesus Christ began to abandon their mother tongue Akkadian and began to speak Aramaic. How logical and probable are his claims?
