27:40 thank you for keeping everyone humble and sharing the story about your daughter and the hot stove… I had a high end customer the other day, his fridge does not indicate water filter changes needed…thus its had the same water filter since 2014, you can imagine his ice cubes are all hollow and water dispenser is down to a drip drip drip 💧 💧 💧 (he had other issues with the fridge) but he kept asking me why is the water like that?… when I asked the customer when is the last time you changed the filter… he said “what filter?” Now I told that story to my team to educate And someone said “that’s just common sense to know to change that” I replied well i don’t think that’s it, see someone in a million dollar home May never have had to deal with this type of issue… Not growing up…not as an adult…not ever! Therefore he didn’t know, I love what Rick said “if you don’t know because you have never experienced or were not given the information …that’s a different thing, Now if i come back for something else to that house and he says…nah i haven’t change that filter for a few years still after you changed it… that’s common sense 🤦♂️ lol We all need a little grace and understanding, and I can’t thank you enough for giving me some clarifying words to tell my team the next time this comes up. Great video! Appreciate you 🙏

Hey TMM Guys! Just wanted to give Rich a "shout-out". I'm an instructor by profession, in a completely different industry than appliance repair. However, I can spot ok, good, and great instructors pretty well. Rich is a great instructor. He explains things very succinctly & clearly, uses great everyday analogies, and gives good real-world examples from his personal experience. I've been dabbling in learning appliance repair on my own through KZitem University, as I'm thinking about doing it in retirement. I hope you guys can start organizing more of Rick's lessons into a playlist. PS: Give Rich a raise!

@@garym2879 I had my own channel partnered with Brandon. I have my own repair business with 30 trucks and I am a full time teacher at a local vocational school for 34 years. Don't really have time for much more lol

I am a HVAC installer/Tech looking to get into appliance repair to further my knowledge and skill set. I been watching your videos faithfully for about a week now and want to tank you for these videos. I have leaned so much from this video alone and explains why i have such a hard time troubleshooting. I struggle with low voltage and looking forward to watch more videos that could possibly open my mind to why i struggle in this area.

Besides the content and the teaching style being exceptional may I make a suggestion.I for one do follow the general line of thought but because schematics’ symbols are seen through the camera on a TV screen they remain somewhat blurry. That sometimes prevents me personally from grasping on every detail being explained. So I'm not sure if possible at all but I think it would be beneficial for the viewers to have the schematics as a pdf file in the videos description section so everything would be visually clearer on the computer screen not just seen through the camera. Again just suggestion, otherwise the classes are great.
