Afp you never fail to entertain me! I’m here after witnessing the Mig-23 crash in Ypsi. The smell was eerie as they say, like death, even though everybody survived thank God. Initially I thought they didn’t, the smoke was too thick to see the parachutes from where we were, and we didn’t know the ground situation either. Everything went eerily silent, the crowd, the announcers, until the only sounds were two patrolling F-35’s flying over to investigate, I tell you it was the most chilling flyover I’ve ever watched. The next day I went for flight training, paranoid enough, but had to call it off due to problems with the aircraft. Lately my desire to fly has been on high stakes, but you always motivate me to fly and make me smile, thanks for the upload Afp we are all very grateful:)

Co-worker of mine lives in the building next to where it crashed. They got incredibly lucky! I can't wait to see the full report on that. My wife and I were at Culver's in Belleville, and when the first fire truck went past I joked "Maybe something happened at the air show" and then the second and the third and an ambulance went by. I said "Oh shit, maybe something really happened" and got outside and saw the smoke.

Duct tape (a misheard form of the original name, duck tape, named for cotton duck, a type of canvas, from which it's made) is cloth- or scrim-backed pressure-sensitive tape, often coated with polyethylene. There are a variety of constructions using different backings and adhesives, and the term 'duct tape' has been genericized to refer to different cloth tapes with differing purposes. A variation is heat-resistant foil tape useful for sealing heating and cooling ducts, produced because the adhesive on standard duct tape fails and the synthetic fabric reinforcement mesh deteriorates when used on heating ducts. Powdered aluminum pigment gives traditional duct tape its silvery gray color Duct tape is generally silvery gray in color, but also available in other colors and printed designs, from whimsical yellow ducks, college logos to practical camouflage patterns. It is often confused with gaffer tape (which is designed to be non-reflective and cleanly removed, unlike duct tape). During World War II, Revolite (then a division of Johnson & Johnson) developed an adhesive tape made from a rubber-based adhesive applied to a durable duck cloth backing. This tape resisted water and was used to seal some ammunition cases during that period.[1] "Duck tape" is recorded in the Oxford English Dictionary as having been in use since 1899[2] and "duct tape" (described as "perhaps an alteration of earlier duck tape") since 1965.[3]

Reminds me of an incident I heard about while working at Horizon. A woman was in a first class seat, and she needed to use the bathroom bad while on final approach. She wasn't able to hold it. After they parked and everyone else deplaned, paramedics and maintenance got onboard to extract her _because she was stuck to the seat._ Apparently, she told the paramedics she was "stuck to it like bear glue," to which the paramedic replied "ma'am, I don't know what bear glue is, but I think I get what you're saying." They got her out, and then maintenance had to remove that row of seats AND the couple rows in front of it because it had run onto the floor and down to the rows in front of her.
