Decolonizing Academia: Network for Research Ethics
Research into indigenous issues and areas, such as the Arctic, raises complex and multifaceted ethical questions, including on the relationship between indigenous and non-indigenous researchers and knowledge systems. This roundtable will discuss some of the most salient issues faced by researchers working in these fields, and how we can ensure that the research is ethically responsible.
This is part of an initiative from the University of Bergen and the University of New England to create a Thematic Network on Research Ethics within the framework of the University of the Arctic.
Participants: Ana Carolina Alfinito Federal University of Pará, Øyvind Ravna University of Tromsø, Rachel Sieder CIESAS Mexico, Gro Ween University of Oslo
