In this video, I’ll be showing 2 simple techniques for beautifully decorated Easter eggs.
1. Dyeing Easter eggs using crepe paper
We’ll need:
Crepe paper in several colors
White vinegar
One plastic bottle cut in half
Napkins
Gloves
Eggs should be boiled first. Hard-boiled eggs take 8 to 10 minutes. If you like them soft or medium, boil them for 4 to 5 minutes. Cut crepe paper in stripes. Dip the stripes in vinegar and wrap them around the eggs. Use 2 or 3 different colored stripes per egg. Wrap the egg in a napkin, and place it in a cut bottle. Leave the eggs to sit while the paper dries. Then unwrap the eggs and coat them with oil.
2. Dyeing Easter eggs using powder paint
We’ll need:
Powder paint
White vinegar
Bowls
Napkins
Gloves
Tea spoon or cotton sticks
Eggs should be boiled first. Hard-boiled eggs take 8 to 10 minutes. If you like them soft or medium, boil them for 4 to 5 minutes. Pour one bag of paint and a little vinegar into each bowl. Wrap each egg in a napkin. Use tea spoon (or cotton stick) to randomly apply small amount of each color on the napkin. Wet the napkin with water, to make the colors spill. Leave the eggs to sit for half an hour, and then unwrap them. Coat the eggs with oil, to make them shiny.
