Hi I am a fan of your work it's simply fantastic .. just a quick query .. I used chalk paint instead of acrylic paint and also used mod podge gloss as varnish .. is that ok or better to use the acrylic varnish the one u have shown
@AggiesCraft
6 жыл бұрын
mod podge is varnish and glue in one and might get sticky even when dry.
@elamathiseran412

Ok so is it suggested to use anything other than mod podge

Great job, i just want to ask you if the rice paper is the same napkins or not? Thank you

No it's not. Rice paper is easier to work with. It's thin and strong at the same time and doesn't get wrinkles like napkins.

Aggie, it is me again sorry but I so need to ask you something. First I love your video and I love this craft and I want to be good at it so please understand my reason for questions and I thank you. Okay, you know how some videos will use what is called patina for an antique kinda look because I am on a budget and I am looking for substitutes which I don't like substitutes but I was wondering could I use something in place of patina to get the same effect as patina? I love the antique look but thought there must be a way to achieve the same effect. Any advice I would be so grateful Aggie I love this decoupaging art when I see it I am drawn to it like a magnet and I am gathering as many supplies as I can before I start actually doing it. I made texture paste and put it in a tight jar, I have all my paints, lace, stencils, beads, skeleton keys, tissue paper, glue and more but the patina I don't have yet. Here I am raddling on sorry, thank you so much for your help.
@AggiesCraft

It depends what you ant to do. If you want to darken edges of for example box you can use sponge and paint. If you want to feel cracks you will need either patina or dry pigment.

Say if I was highlighting some white snow in the scenery or black trees with black paint lines which kind of paint do I use.
