Canadian guy here but used to live right around there for a couple of years and surfed there a few times. Love Dee Why.

Dee Why rocks! Lived in Sturdee pde in 1990. Surf in the day time, rock out at The Venue at night: Buzzcocks, Mudhoney, Hard Ons, Beasts of Bourbon, Philisteins, and SO many more. That was a cool year😎

@@daviddefigueiredo6018 More than a few I guess. Wasn't really good enough to surf the point on big days so mostly on the beach breaks or up the way at Long Reef.

Crowd looks the same as when I surfed it in the 70s. Wish the same could be said about Noosa;(

Optical illusion, it’s my local it’s packed 99% of the time maybe not as bad as Noosa but if it’s decent you got 30-40 people in 1 small area fighting for waves it’s probably the hardest place to get a wave on the northern beaches of Sydney

The only thing that comes close is mountaineering imo. Skateboarding takes the edge off.

@@mackash skiing is great fun too, but exorbitantly expensive these days.

fill in some of the holes and it could be an epic wave. if i lived there i would take a rock out with me each time i paddled out and slowly fill the gaps, make it a long barrel from start to finish
