The owners of that vehicle went to the expense of putting Weathertech liners in it, yet still managed to throw garbage and trash under them. Incidentally, have you ever thought of adding a real time timer to the vids so people could get an idea as to how long it actually takes you to clean the vehicles?

I agree with some of the comments below. Why do people let their cars get trashed like this? Why do parents allow their kids to be such slobs? My parents would have killed me if I threw food and drinks around the car the way these kids appeared to have done... I don't get it. It gives the impression of lazy parenting.

I have a 2019 Acura MDX that I clean every day by routine maintenance. A little vacuum here and there and interior wipe downs goes a long way. Both my mom and my sister's cars looked like this ninety percent of the time when my sister's kids were young. They're not much better now that all but one of them is over sixteen. They're just lazy and never wanted to be inconvenienced. When the kids were young they'd give them anything to keep them quiet and if it spilled, oh well. We'll get to it sometime. They never did. Occasionally they'd go to one of those full service car washes and the cars would be tolerable for a few days but within a week or two they were rolling pig pens again. I wouldn't ride with either of them and neither would my brother in law. He'd take his truck and I'd ride with him if family was together and needed to go somewhere. Funny how when the kids rode with dad they didn't spill stuff all the time and when they got old enough what they did spill they had to clean up. Dad is a big time hunter, fisherman and avid boon dock camper and his trucks never came close to being this disgusting even after a week long hunting excursion. He and my sister are still married and my mom still lives with them so I guess they figured a way to live together but I just don't get how nasty some folks can be even when I'm related to them!

What kind of incompetent parents allow their children to be such disgusting pigs. Of course, the driver and passenger areas were disgusting too. Allowing your children to toss trash around like that means that they will grow up not respecting anything. They are like the people who think it’s all right to throw trash out of windows in National Parks. I’m just disgusted by people like this. Yes, to answer your question, I raised three daughters. They never did this, we taught them to put stuff in bags. And I always picked up the garbage after they were in the car. Of course, we find eating in the car to be a terrible habit especially with a car as expensive as an Acura MDX. I wish your video included shaming these horrible parents.

You asked what we would like to see in upcoming videos. I understand most of my questions/suggestions are loaded, but hopefully you can help. 1. I would like a blueprint of the order to clean. Specifically for the interior. Everyone does it differently. I will watch someone cleaning the carpets, then the dashboard and components, when you would think all the dirt from cleaning the dash would fall onto the freshly cleaned and possibly still wet carpet. So I'm confused. I'm looking for efficient, time saving tips to follow. 2. How many hours should it take a weekend warrior cleaning their own vehicles. Cars/SUV/Truck/Van (I know loaded question) It could even be in the description in one of your videos. 3. Another is a video explaining the Lilly brush. Is it only for pet hair? Could it be used for sand (the close cousin to glitter grrrr.) With the fam always going to the lake, it seems like they are brining back half of it in the vehicle 4. Another idea is on what to do for a brand new car. Should it be immediately treated, and if so with what? 5. Floor mats. WeatherTech vs Husky vs upgraded mats from the dealer. Just some ideas. Thanks for the quality content you're putting out. It really helps, and hurts as you make it look so easy.

Not every vehicle needs every inch of the vehicle cleaned. It's a KZitem thing to clean every inch no matter the condition of the vehicle. The order I go in is; Headliner (spot clean if needed), Dash and trim (upper then mid), seats cleaned (extracted in front, steamed in back), bottom trim, vacuum, then extract carpets (only extract in high traffic areas, steam on other areas), and finally windows. I only pull out seats if it's a 3rd row vehicle for the seats don't move enough to be able to get to a stain under the seat. But that's like my gold standard detail, I don't ever extract on my maintenance details unless Im spot cleaning fabric as a free additive. It's the most time efficient for me. I also like sectioning the car into twos or threes and working back to front. Just preference, it's the same as going front to back. I also don't believe in using the detailing brushes to clean every surface in a vehicle, it's no more effective to me than just the towel itself and hurts my hands to grip it for long periods of times. But that's me and everyone is different like you said, hope this helps.
