I usually don't comment on the video but wow I have to give this guy a thumb up. He is very creative. This tip is very helpful.

Very smart use of inexpensive materials + freezing the water bottles to utilize if your power goes out. Never thought of that. Brilliant!

I bought the Hallbar Bin with lids, from IKEA so when it time to thaw out my freezer I'll just pull out 6 buckets filled with food, thaw it out an clean it I uses my wife blower dry to speed up the process takes me 5 minutes to do all this, and just set my buckets back in my freezer.

What is the purpose of the drilled holes?

To keep the temperature even . Air particles to flow. In cold temperatures the particles move slowly and it takes more time to cool down if no holes in case when open and close the door more often

While I appreciate the suggestion, this was an expensive lesson learned. Because the author of this video didn't provide a list of materials and instructions, I ended up wasting a bunch of time and money. Lowes is closer to me and didn't have the cardboard, but Home Depot as suggested did. Those are currently about $21 a piece. I bought two. The author didn't answer my question about the type of fridge or size which had me spending a lot of time measuring, and re-cutting. If he had been given a heads up on the best way to approach the cutting that might have helped (mine had the overhead bins so I had to compensate for those). Also, when everything finally was ready to fit I tried to drill the air holes BUT none of the drill heads I had would work (not even the new one I bought) so I tried a regular drill which is very difficult to work with and got the tinier hols dirty. My wife tried sanitizing them but nothing work, so, in the end we couldn't use these. Again, waste of time and money, but perhaps other will have luck. I would have found the higher prices ones worth it just to know something worked and if it didn't easy return yah know. With love.

I am not sure what you wanted him to do. If he gave you measurements it would be specific to his freezer size and there are many different freezer sizes. He is using a hole saw drill bit. How did the holes get dirty?I agree that more instructions might have made it more clear on how to assemble the panels,

@@beckyshell4649 yeah, well, the hole saw didn't work on the type of material he mentioned. So, a bit more detail on his part would have very helpful. The size was just to get more info about the process. Again, it would have been helpful and he never once replied so meh.
