Deep Purple (Mk II).......Singer is Ian Gillan; interestingly enough, he did the original recording of Gethsemane for Jesus Christ Superstar musical. He is considered one of the greatest vocalists in the history of rock. There is a double live album Made in Japan, recorded in the early 1970s, listen to it. They were considered by many (especially musicians) to be the best live band of the 1970s. For this line up The two best studio albums are Deep Purple in Rock and then Machine Head....This song is actually about the fear of Nuclear War recorded during Cold War between USA and USSR

They have never disappointed me and are rated as one of the greatest rock bands ever to grace a stage. They were so versatile and incredibly talented musicians. Truly one of the very best rock bands ever, although somewhat in Led Zeppelin's shadow for much of their career, but they still held their own with their distinctive style, especially Ian Gillan on vocals and Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar. @@ninoorjon Awesome! Sorry for the tardy response. Singing is so healthy. I'm trying to remember to do it every day. Even if I'm out of tune or torturing the high notes it's still good for the soul. Keep up the good work! 😊🎶

So glad you finally got to this one. It's a fire classic for sure. Pure songwriting, master musicians. If you're going to do Rush, do YYZ live in Brazil. Trust us. When are you going to check out Alanis Morrissette? Start with her video You Outa Know. Not Morrisette. Alanis Morrissette.
