i still remember how jess and gabe used to avoid 'juicy' questions bcs i do understand how they tried to maintain the positivity on this platform but now, they had a serious, straightforward conversation. it feels new and refreshing to see this.

Min 7:00. a piece of advice I received right before I got married was "Listen to understand, not to answer", which I something I tell newlyweds all the time now. It so true in every situation. It is so important, especially in marriage to help each other feel heard and understood. Consciously stop and listen to your partner, truly wanting to understand them before you just snap back with an answer. :)

One of my absolute favorite biological things to happen to women after having a baby is how their voice goes ever so slightly lower. Its due to babies getting sensory overwhelm by loud sharp noises so a mother's voice automatically adjusts to the fact that baby is there. It's so beautiful and soothing and even cooler when you know the reason

When my kid was a few months old i wanted to do everything and i was so hard on myself. It caused me my mental health that I have neglected myself. I have neglected myself when even though I didnt even perfect my parenting. Now I regret that I didnt have any help, or asked for help or hired a nanny! Now... I sometimes feel like im being selfish but Im learning more self love, im trying to lose weight after becoming almost obese after childbirth and pandemic... im trying to work outside our house because working at home ever since has also not helped my mental health as well... im not a superwoman... i realized that... and I need to be happy, mentally healthy, my daughter deserves that.... About Jess’s comment on balance❤️think some times we try to seperate each aspect of our life into categories, and our Faith journey falls into one of those categories. But I think somewhere we need to stop seeing Faith as another category in our life, but the foundation of all other categories.❤️ by doing this, we know the holy spirit is there to guide us, and help us find balance in the other aspects of life❤️ it’s amazing knowing that we don’t need to try figure it with our own understanding or human wisdom, but we can pray that the Holy spirit leads and guides our steps, taking it day by day❤️

I tend to listen to someone and try to think of a response while they're talking because it's a bit of an anxiety response. My teacher, in year 6, once told me off because I'd gone up to her desk and forgotten what I was going to say. She then told my mum during a parent-teacher night that I should think about what to ask beforehand. So now I just automatically try to think of questions when people are talking because then I won't get put on the spot to answer and forget what I about to ask/say. Not saying that this is why everyone does this, but for me, it's anxiety.

I think life is made of unbalanced days! It's so natural for us to be more focused on one part of our lives than others most of the time and even though we should still try to keep up with what's important, we shouldn't feel guilty... as the Bible says, there's a time for everything! ❤️❤️❤️

Gabe, when you said “distraction” to get over your first love by using vine… isn’t like more refocusing your priorities? I just wanted to address the Gabe not listening when being spoken to. I read a book called men are like waffles women are like spaghetti. It explains how men compartmentalize, what ever they are doing THATS WHAT THEY ARE DOING ie if he's at work then he's working if he's watching TV then he's watching TV. For us women EVERYTHING in life intertwines like spaghetti,we could be doing the dishes thinking about what to pack the kids for lunch tomorrow which will get us Thinking about how much sugar they consume and how we have to teach them a balanced diet so next time we go to the grocery store we have to buy more natural food and so on and so on
