Terrific video John! Tell me? How come people over there don't seem to eat Tope? Pretty sure that's what we call School Shark or schoolies down under. We live on it down here. I swap a couple of snapper for a tope (schoolie) any day of the week.

BTW...Think method of dispatching fish quickly you were describing @ 17:45...ikejime/ikijime=Ee-kay-jee-may/Ee-kee-jee-may & Japanese in origin. Some fishers here, in Hawaii, use this method or Bonking over the head w/short-handled(24-36in) bat. Some get it right(1-2x) but majority take 4-5 swings....A-L-O-H-A from Hawaii!

There are some jellyfish who do not sting, but also, only the tentacles sting. Not the top.

I never just use slow jigs. I just use them when the conditions are right. Different jigs you work at different speeds.

I bought your FishLocker Cox and Rawle 10/0 wrecking rig made from 200 its mono after my 100Ibs mono self made wrecking rig got bitten through off a wreck!😩🤣 Do you sell a wired equivalent John? 2 gorgeous Bass ,and pair of big pollacks !!!!😂 😊 Another top vid john... you make it look easy ... Cracking fish too...those bass were stunning and i expect they will taste as good as they looked... That larger cuckoo wrasse was a specimen for sure.. i think the record may only be 1lb 4oz...such brilliant colours . So many good tips in this one too...sea craft and the fishing...better than TV mate...

Ok I understand the need for big fish especially when fishing for food. I am a hunter gather, but Pollock ,,, please it’s grey and woolly, correct me if I am wrong. Now then bass ,the king of sea fish that’s worth the space in my freezer. A quick question ? What size of Bass would you not take. Not speaking of small ones. Over and out.

This is where we can maybe learn from each other. You say Pollock. With an O. Am I to assume you are from the US/Canada? As their Pollock are what we call Coalfish. Which do have a greyish coloured meat. But Pollack, our Pollack - with an A. Is wonderful, white flaky fish.

You would think a 10ft trace would wrap up more regardless if you feathered it on the way down....? Even dispensing with the boom was a surprise TBH..... 👍
