I messed my back so bad at work once i slowly started crotching more and more each day. At age 25 i couldn't stand straight up anymore of the span of a week. Went to the chiropractor and they put heat pads on me and ran some kind of electrods pads for 10 minutes into my lower back. They performed only two adjustments and I scremed like this man. You can't control it at the moment of adjustment. It just comes out. I walked out of the office standing straight. Only had to come in one more time later that week for a follow-up. That kind of adjustment is a lifesaver.

I had a fall at work in 1974 and broke my left leg bad. I fell 45' while climbing a power pole and ended up hitting the ground on my butt. They fixed my leg, but I had back issues for years after. I finally went to a chiropractor who knew what he was doing, and he popped me like this. No more back issues! I go get a back adjustment about once a year now and am still as flexible as a 20 year old at 73. Funny thing, I had kidney cancer in 2017 and the MRI showed I had broken my back in three places in 1974 that were never addressed. A good chiropractor is worth their weight in gold!

@KingdomMadeAnimals Yeah, I was miserable for years after that accident. But once I got my back aligned, most of the pain and discomfort went away. But it was decades later, after an MRI for kidney cancer, that the Dr's realized how messed up I had been. I still, to this day, can't just bend over and work on stuff while bent over . It will go out of alignment and require an adjustment.
@CurtisDrew1

@mattolson898 Many are like that. One of my sons childhood friends became a Chiropractor, and he has been my go to guy for it. I'll get an adjustment, and he'll say, " There ya go, if you need another, let me know." and it's usually only takes one pop. Sometimes I'll need a follow up but rarely more than 2.

When I was younger I'd see hunched over older guys who wouldn't lift stuff because their backs hurt. I'd think "just suck it up" and do what you gotta do. Then, in my mid-40s I bulged 3 discs lifting a garden tractor, and could barely walk for 2 years, let alone lift anything. It's been 20 years and I still have to be careful lifting things. I've had this done three times in Houston. The first time I had it done, I was getting trained for a severe pinced sciatic. It felt like a pro boxer punched me in the stomach as hard as he could. The second time, it was not nearly as bad, and the third time was not bad at all. It was explained to me by Dr. Johnson that the first time is usually painful because of all scar tissue built up. This all happened six years ago, and to this day, I no longer suffer from back issues.

When he asked me if I was OK I told him I didn’t think my body could move like that anymore without hurting and I was only yelling because I was scared.but I got up off the table and I was able to stand up straight again. After any great chiropractic adjustment do you have to strengthen the areas that allow your body to go out of position. Second thing you need to do is get yourself a better bed if you don’t have one.

Dude I was locked up once with herniated discs i couldn’t even breath in deep without it feeling like I got hit with nerve agent . Out of state working in NY yet there was a chiropractor that would finally take me in and try to help me . Took hrs to get me there even though it was only 30 mins away but dude cracked me like like kinda it was insanely painful and I didn’t think it helped me much that day but he said give him a call in a day or two if nothing then I need immediate surgery . He took a big risk cause all the other places wouldn’t touch me I didn’t want to go to ER cause I had no health care back in the day having my own business. The next day I woke up finally being able to sleep and I was upright a couple other visits and my shit has been good for 18 yrs now . Manageable pain that is , I wish I remembered the old head doc that was cool and wasn’t scared to help me to give me a shout out but , shit works if you get the right doc .

I have back issues. Scoliosis, sciatica pain slipped disk, compressed disk and pinched nerves, at one point I has excruciating pain running down my leg was losing mobility and feeling in leg. Dr. took an MRI and I was told I needed surgery by 2 surgeons, but they also said I may have pain forever. Not a big sell if your trying to convince me to have surgery. Anyway I decided to try Chiropractor first. I found a good chiropractor a few weeks later had spinal decompression. done and after 4 visits pain was gone , mobility and feeling back to normal, I go 1-2 times a monrh because its not a fix, I have a permanent condition but I have found something that works so I can live a normal life.

Depending on the level of scar tissue around the spine, that is a normal reaction. 20 + years of dealing with with multiple spinal injuries, advance disk disease, trauma onset arthritis, severe nerve damage, the first rapid traction done on me had me squeeling like a stuck pig and concusling like I was having a seizure. It CAN be extremely painful. You have to take into account that individual has probably been in bad shape for years and finally decided to do this procedure. That is a TON of immobility to release in one shot. By rights, they should have done manual adjustments and slow traction first to get things warmed up. I have 3 different chiros and not one of them will do this the moment you lay down
