Another cool video Fred.I had a 3 month culling stint in the Waioeka way back in 1975.Just pure magic.Been back many times since Similarly I never had an interest in collecting antlers. My first deer in Canterbury was a 14 pointer.Sold the antlers to a second hand dealer to help finance an overseas jaunt.Still get out in the bush as often as possible.

Thanks Maurice, Its good to get a nice set of antlers for the wall for sure, but never been a priority of mine, I was just lucky enough to get a nice one in the helis,, But more important to keep the freezer topped up, if we pick n choose too much DOC will step in with the poison n culling and then everybody loses.,

Would hate to see access closed for us all from increased traffic, vehicle break ins, gates not closed, people disrespecting access and poaching like the rest of the gorge. HI mate, really digging your vids! Im 54 too, chronic neck ostio, and sometimes terrible anxiety which makes things interesting if hits while in bush. Im hunting alot at the moment to try to get better fitness levels and time to myself. Thanks for the inspiration and heartyness!

@@nzmeateater anytime mate, like you said it's not about how many likes you get it's about filling the freezer and providing for the family.

@@craigedkins Yea I think its easy to get into the mindset where we start chasing the likes /views etc, its ok to do that ,but I think its more important to just be happy with what I have, ,,, Going hard on here with hunting vids is hard work, its for the young. Il still make vids, but probably just not as many.
