I know nothing about knives and don't hunt at all, but your videos are just phenomenal. There's something very soothing to all of them. Love it.

Now This is real-world testing. I doubt that any knife maker has enjoyed the extensive and in-depth testing of their product that we see in your vids. Great video and a beautiful knife (CDP Hunter)

Your last few videos have been "truly superb". More of you in it the better. Please try a close up slower motion of the main event. We would love to see the loins lifted up close. Thanks so much for your videos they tide us over till next season in US.

Bark River is not a custom knife maker. I am already fully prepared to receive a wrong edge to make a nice edge by myself. It's no problem just to me because I am ready. Their knives have nice steels, nice handles, and nice basic geometry at least. I just need to finish the edges. If I needed a perfect zero grind edge from them, I would need to pay much more like for a full custom knife. I can accept their wrong edges now. I have no complaint about their handles. They are the nicest. Thanks.

Wako-san, this is an awesome video, loved the beautiful sceneries and the close up on the bathing bird and the fox enjoying the remains of the deer. Great to see your Gunny and Classic Drop Point Hunter in action, all the work with reprofiling has paid off! All the best for your next adventure!

My wife hasn't bought beef at all since I started deer hunting 8 years ago. My family don't order beef at restaurants since we think aged venison is tastier than beef. Beef is really expensive here. We sometimes eat chicken and pork. Thanks.

Seeing as how you have purchased so many knives from Bark River, do you think it would be possible to have them build you a knife like the classic drop-point hunter to your personally preferred specifications? That way you would not have to regrind all these knives all the time.

The fat tissue around the rib cage makes the dishes very oily. If possible I want to keep the muscles around the cage. But pretty much amount of fat tissue is hiding under the muscles around the cage. The most tasty portion of the rib cage is collagen tissue and muscles just around the rib bones. Thanks.

There was no need to regrind either. I've skinned and broken down moose, elk, deer, bear and caribou with both. It does appear that you do need training in skinning and breaking down game though.

Yes, on KZitem. They had some rituals. I don't do such. I have been a trophy hunter basically. But recently I have educated my surrounding people how to cook and eat venison and now I mainly hunt for meat. We have lots of deer to kill. This season I already killed 30 deer and will kill 20 from now. Thanks.

Hello, from new subscriber. Any tip for maintaining carbon steel blades to prevent it rust and get spots and how to remove them to get mirror shine like new, no spots blade? Knife is used for skin dressing , and meat cutting so i assume motor oils and synthetic oils are not so great option or? Thnx a lot

In other videos, when you extract the ribs, I notice you often remove the meat and fat on the front of the rib first. Is this intentional? Why wouldn't you leave this on if you are keeping the rib?

Vegaswarwoman....you think your german traditions are better than everyone else? Try tradition of when you have nothing nice to say................. Gutless deboning of meat is necessary skill and encouraged for backcountry solo hunting. Esp. for rocky mtn. elk
