This is the only song I've ever actually heard by them. They are coming to my area I might go see them.

I did not notice before that they are actually live over the track of the song - so you can hear all their noise in addition to the track. Very funny.

It took me quite a while to get into Deerhoof. At first I thought they were really irritating, but the more you give them a chance the more they grow on you, and then you start to realize that they're actually quite genius. This is one of my favorite songs by them.

I Love the musicianship. They have an ear for good rock tone. They’re not trying to sound like who and whatever . Which is what I appreciate. But I’m Not big on the vocals. Wth?

@garagelandluthier @johnklucy I think he's using an EHX HOG with freeze/gliss for that organ sound on the chorus. Could be using it for that sliding part too, but I think it's just sliding.

@juliandunn @garagelandluthier @johnklucy i believe he uses a glass guitar slide (the kind that slips over the finger) for a few songs and this could be one of them. don't quote me on that though.

Sounds like the song that plays in Jurrasic Park: The Lost World when that bald dude is trying to stop the rest of the gang falling off the cliff. I dunno.

any ideas what the guitarist is doing around 2:11 to get that glide effect, its smoother than a normal guitar slide

To me it sounds like a 5th harmony effect like from a digitech whammy, or its layered guitars that make up those extra notes. Not sure if it is done with a slide but seems more like a harmoniser effect
