The Jeeps went around the easier way. Then stopped to watch the Pinzgauer do the tougher obstacles.

What size tires are those, and do you use an offset spacer?

Hello Redlaw, can you tell me some details about the used tyres? Goodrich MT, but it seems to be more than 255/85 (285/75?)...with or without tubes? Pressure? Thanks, best wishes from Vienna/Austria Markus

amazing! is this an internally stock pinz? i am looking into getting one for myself
@Redlaw.

Stock with exception of modified wheels, high speed balanced driveline, electronic civilian ignition and lots of Dynamat to bring down the sound levels. I drive the pinz on freeways to and from offroad events and have never had an issue.

Redlaw, are there any more pics or details about your Pinz on the online? PortalHub forum? Curious about your skid plate gas tank setup. I'm a new 710 owner and those tanks are expensive!
@Redlaw.

Skid plates were custom built by Andre at Fat Fabrications. Andre can be found on the real4x4forums. Not much on my Pinz online other then youtube. All the mods I've done were to improve driveability, reduce noise and protect from rocks, but I've never posted them anywhere.

dont know much about these trucks, reminds me of a cross between a Volo c304 and a Mog. This is in the usa, isnt it? How did you mange to get one, and in left hand drive?
@xxJohnxx77
8 жыл бұрын
Most of the Pinzgauers are in left hand drive because they are mainly used by the Austrian and Swiss army. There are some websites that import Pinzgauers (like Pinzgauer[Dot]Com) to the States.

305/70R 16 BFG KM2, but they won't fit on stock wheels. The wheels on my Pinz were modified by cutting the original narrow outer from the center and welding modern wider outer sections with safety bead seats that also allows airing down.

Actually independent portal suspension all around, not 'axels'.
@harveysmith100

@@magnus5356 You are correct Sir. The term Portal axle is widely used to describe the engineering set up. The term Axle is also used to describe the engineering between a pair of wheels. Hence the term, "Solid Axle" meaning not independent, or "The front axle is independent." The English language is not a pure language so it does kick up these odd terms.
