I KNOW they gonna cut to black after the final note like in the stage version and the credits will roll and I'll be sobbing hahaha

I think she will fly away from the emerald city just like on the trailers

I'll one-up your prediction: the final imagery we'll see for the first film will be that incredible shot from the "Musical Event" trailer a few days ago. You know, the one with Elphaba floating among 500 or so yards of billowing fabric across the sunset. _Then_ it will cut to black. It's a direct reference to how the Broadway show ended Act I and by far the most iconic image from the musical (the "whisper" poster being the ONE exception).

Eu realmente estou ansioso para ver a Myra Ruiz cantar do jeitinho que a Cynthia cantou no filme🥹 Tenho certeza que vai ser de arrepiar

Unsure about orchestrations (too poppy for my liking) but LOVE Cynthia's vocals.

@@liambrownpianoproductions3445 I disagree with the slammy drums because the thing is that has always been the nature of the song. Its more the poppiness of the song and that it feels too commercial. I'm just sincerely hoping this film really pays a lot of homage to the musical and gets it right. 15 years to wait for it is too long for it to mess it up.

These aren't the final orchestrations, it's the one for the merchandise which was probably not done by John Powell

Defying Gravity was one of the last shots to be filmed as Cynthia had to train singing in a harness. IT’S SUNG LIVE, so depending on the take they use for the film we may be getting a slightly different one

@@danjon8799nothing is wrong with her vocals, the vocals are STUNNING and she actually has a fresh take on them. the musical arrangement sounds rough and compared to the trailers, most likely isn’t the final version. let’s not continually compare the movie to the broadway show, because it’s not that, nor is it trying to be that. it’s its own entity and should be treated as such. not every detail has to match the stage play.
