Related note : so weird in Peter Jackson’s Get Back when he used a snippet of George from 1994 singing this while sitting with Paul and Ringo, its from the Anthology documentary when they’re talking about writing songs in India. Same clip. It’s played up as being a vintage clip in Get Back.

I first try to find the demo's tempo and chord structure. I then cut up the demo WAV according to choruses and verses. Then I basically strum the acoustic thru that structure, but just with George's vocal and the metronome. Then I add either real or program drums, with appropriate drum fills or what have you. Then I add everything else: more acoustics, electrics, keyboards, bass, percussion, vocals. I try to build the tune up, then have a break, then an ending of some sort. I must have had the basic Beatles/harrison song structure burned in my brain, because I really don't find it hard to do. Plus I've recorded tons of my own stuff, so I have lots of experience with putting together a tune. Probably the funnest part is singing harmonies with George's vocal. And trying to do lead guitar, especially slide. It feels spooky when I listen back to it sometimes. I hope the Harrison's don't mind these...I'm not looking to profit from them. Thanks for the interest!

Another job well done, Walrusz. Did you know your version of Harrison's Fear of Flying was one of my most played tracks this year (I downloaded it onto itunes -- I hope you don't mind). I hope you continue this worthy cause. I recommended one for you earlier this year, and it seemed like a good choice, but for the life of me I can no longer recall what it was. Should you continue forward, any thoughts as to what's next?

@@walrusz shame, seems such a natural fit, and there's good imagination in the arrangements .. not just a copy of Jeff Lynne's approach (which I admire too). Imagine if you had access to the original source material. Can't really imagine more finished viable versions than what you've produced. Their / our loss I suppose. Much respect

Thats why they chose more Lennon-McCartney songs…this is nothing of that kind. This is a NORMAL. Not the work of a genius like Let it Be, Lady Madonna or Two of us.
