Young men in America (and the West in general, really) are dying for this message. Look how powerful Jordan Peterson and Kevin Samuels (RIP) have been for young men. They eat it up, because they don't have the positive male role models that we had in earlier generations. They are lost in a world where every action they take is called toxic, and aggressively masculine. Young black boys have it the hardest in this respect in North America--clearly for many reasons. If only Deion were to take his message and centralize it for those in need, and take it to the masses.

He is in the best position to see who is falling behind in class or who is slipping with the required credits to graduate...or who is not doing what they are supposed to do. Coaches get those phone calls about their players when they do wrong and coaches are constantly informed about all types of player issues. So he is giving it to them straight. The best thing he said was the discipline will give you the opportunities or better yet the discipline will give you the awareness of the opportunities because some people have plenty of opportunities right in front of them but don't even see it because they weren't disciplined enough to spot it.

He is the perfect football coach. He was a student of the game when he played. Was flashy and loud, but disciplined, and hungry every time he stepped on the field. He was respectful. He busted his ass to be a step above his opponents. By all accounts he was an amazing teammate. And he has an IQ of the game of 190. He can motivate and inspire a kid from every angle, and has the coaching chops on top of it.
