I LOVE my D4 Mini!!! I’ve had it for about 2-3 years and I use it all the time and in combination with my Rode WG2!

I own this mic and like it very much. Especially because of its low pricepoint. Good review!

The D4 Mini sounds great without EQ coming from my tiny Yoga 6 speakers in which is ideal for those who know little about mixing audio, let alone using a DAW. The RODE has a more open sound with more head room in which I expected from my experience with RODE. The Taylor guitar already has a bright sound by its very design so i'm surprised the D4 Mini didn't sound over the top and distorted/metallic but that might sound different with my studio monitors lol.

How high do you set up the gain inside the camera for this microphone? In my Sony ZVE10 it goes from 1 to 31 and at about 7 there's almost no more noticeable background hissing noise being picked up. But of course, my voice volume is considerably reduced so I need to readjust in post.

Deity D4 mini actually sounded more natural/filmic than even your expensive mic, which turns your voice into the "radio guy", adding a lot of base.

Everyone’s going to prefer something different eh, although I’d definitely describe my radio guy tone as more filmic as ADR is used widespread in cinema. This typically has plenty of bass too, worth looking up if you’re unfamiliar 👍🏻

@@HarvVideoAudioStuff I did not mean to imply you sounded bad with that mic, just that for my taste it would be too much base for a film production. It sounds perfect for what you do.

The background music is really distracting from the audio from the mic :(

Does anyone know if I can use a longer 3.5 aux for it?
