after listening to this song, I went and married a psychologist...getting analyzed twice a day, whether you say anything or not, is very healthy, and you learn to love gin & tonic.

I can not believe he's eighty... really can't imagine him being gone from the scene... really glad he got to choose and he's still on this side of the grass... still it's not easy for me and I feel for us all.... damnit .. enjoy your retirement Mr McClinton...we love you...why do you gotta make us feel so old... wish you could have gone on forever and a day

Nothing about Delbert not to dig. From the first listen, I was hooked. Being as we aren't that far off, age wise, he's revitalized me many a time after a little too much 'too'! ;) Scared the heck out of me with his heart problem & by-pass surgery in April 2014! Glad he's able to keep on keepin' on!

One of the first white men to play the Apollo Theater in Harlem N. Y. Delbert is a true rocknroll stalwart from the very early days.A RhythmnBlues genius.

Well, he did win 3 Grammys and any serious Blues/Roots musician knows and reveres him. I know what you are getting at, though. He should be a household name.

He had tremendously bad luck with record companies that went broke often when he had new releases so no promotion, no money, no cowboy hats, bad management + he was probably fairly stupid about everything in life (I'm just guessing as a long time Delbert fan & based on what I know) until his career was put on a better track by his wife Wendy Goldstein.

One of the best if not the best blue eyed soul singers and songwriters. I have him on Pandora and the amount of quality music he has written and recorded is staggering. Great voice equals the great s. My hero

Delbert, one of a few who I don't think sold his soul. Have all ways loved your groove. Sweet. Where are you now, Delbert? Saw you years ago in Tennessee.

He showed John some licks. Delbert downplays the incident. The coolest part of the story is that Delbert and Bruce Channel were the headline act. The Beatles opened for them.
