Delhi Airport News: Terminal 1 Halts Operations After Roof Collapses | 1 Dead, 6 Injured
A portion of the roof at Delhi airport's Terminal 1 (T1) collapsed due to heavy rain, killing one person and injuring six others. All departures from T1, which handles only domestic flights by IndiGo and SpiceJet, have been suspended. The incident, which occurred around 5:30 am, caused significant damage, including four cars in the pick-up and drop-off area. Rescue operations are ongoing, and one man was pulled from a car struck by an iron beam. The airport, one of the busiest in the world, manages around 1,400 flights daily.
