Delicous pita bread that anyone can make. Make these fresh at home in advanced and enjoy with any dip or as a bread for sandwiches. Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE!!!
RECIPE:
For Dough sponge
1Cup- AP Flour
1Cup- Warm water (115°F)
1Tbsp- yeast (instant dry)
1Tbsp- Sugar
2tsp- Salt (kosher)
For rest of dough:
8-9oz- AP Flour
1T- Olive oil
Directions:
1.Combine all of the ingredients for the dough sponge in a bowl and let rest 15 minutes.
2.In a stand mixer with the sponge add 1T Olive oil, and 8-9oz of Flour. Knead this for 10 minutes.
3.Once dough has formed, roll into ball and place in oiled bowl to rise for 1 hour.
4.After rising for 1 hour, divide into 8 equal parts and rest an additional 30 minutes.
5. Roll pitas into quarter inch thickness on a floured pin and board. Let these rest another 10 minutes before cooking.
6. Cook in pan with light oil for 30 seconds each side on medium low). Flip 4 times every 30 seconds (2 minutes total)
7. Serve immediately and eat with your favorite dips!! Enjoy!
