We present you a basic and easy recipe to follow in order to make your own orange cake in your kitchen! It will come out fluffy and you will love it!
🥣 RECIPE
Ingredients
For the Cake
4 eggs, at room temperature
250 gr. sugar (one cup and a quarter)
125 ml orange juice (half a cup)
200 gr. Vegetable oil (cup)
125 ml milk (half a cup)
300 gr. Flour (two cups and two tablespoons)
1 sachet of baking powder
Orange zest
Two vanilla
For the orange sauce
240 ml strained orange juice
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup corn flour
Method
We start by making the orange cakefirst. Beat the eggs and sugar for about 4-5 minutes to make the mixture creamy and thick. Then add the orange juice, oil, milk and mix well. Continue adding the flour, the baking powder, the orange zest, vanilla and mix to make a smooth cake mix.
Then pour the mixture into a 24 cm cake tin, which we butter and flour well.
Finally, bake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 35 minutes. Once baked, leave the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan and turn it over afterwards.
For the orange sauce, mix all the ingredients and then stir over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
TIP: Leave the orange sauce to cool and then pour it over the cake.
