Just watched this video. I like his approach and the "muscle memory" drills.

Great video and info! "The objective is NOT to pocket the ball, but to deliver the cue in a straight line to the desired point on the cue ball." Too many people, me included, attempted to play pool at the local pool place with no instruction on how to stroke a cue. They managed to figure out ways to pocket balls when delivering the cue poorly. Then, when they get help to play better, they get frustrated because the quality of their game suffers as they try and get the errors in their stroke ironed out and the way they aimed no longer works. The only thing different I would have done in your video is to start with the last execise first. Practicing the line can be done anywhere there is a table with a straight edge. But hindsight is 20/20, and I truly doubt the I would have done a better video. I really like the fact that you didn't use editing to hide less than perfect shots! I'm glad I stumbled on to your video! Keep good videos coming and you channel will grow. Best regards, Some Guy.

Good stuff, Bryant! I've been doing the straight in shots and the rail drill, but will now incorporate the other two. When I do the rail drill, I move back to about the kitchen line, which then allows my right foot to be beyond the end of the table so the rail line dissects my foot. This simulates an actual game stance (shot line/rail line dissecting the right foot).

Love your comments on putting in the work. A lot of new or lower skill level players think they will just get better without practicing outside of league night. LOL! Keep cranking out the videos.

Another thing that's awsome is place a glass empty pop bottle place it on the table. Stroke in and out without touching the sides of the bottle

I know my accuracy could be better bro, great talk! It starts with that objective, knowing what youre aiming at on the cue ball, instead of just firing it and hoping for the best. Good to see you back bro 🤘🎱

👍👍🏆🏆14:00 An old stroke practice we used was laying a coke bottle on it's side and stroking the cue tip into the bottleneck over and over....without touching the bottle. A bottle of Coke was .15 back then and you could get .03 return on the bottles🙂

On the second drill with the object ball, wouldn’t it still be a not so straight stroke if the object ball doesn’t hit the cue ball full and cue ball comes straight back?
@Corner4Billiards

It’s straight,but not as straight as it could be. So you’re correct. It’s also possible that I didn’t have them lined up as straight as I thought as well.
