Here in early 2022. I still have my 3300. Bought in 2008 & subsequently enjoyed watching movies with family on the weekends at home in the living room for the next 5 years. I made sure my interface was all digital to get the best quality picture. Because of that weekend viewing for 5 years straight, the 3300 is special to me, because I got to play movies with this projector for my parents for those 5 years. My dad had since passed away end of 2017. So those are cherished memories.

@Caret ... That's great. I was not aware of the 2300, or maybe I forgot it existed. I compared the 2300 & 3300 specs & it looks like the 2300 has a bit better specs because it was made a year after the 3300. But one of the main advantages of the 3300 is that it has around twice the life of its bulb than for the 2300. The only annoyance I have with my 3300 is that I bought it used & it must have been used a lot by the previous owner because I can see a tiny haze/halo around the picture (on the wall). I found out it was dust inside the lens, but you have to dismantle the machine just to get into there to clean it, but I am not about to do that, I might break something. That haze does disappear because the picture is much brighter, so you're not seeing any halo effect that much.

Hello #AM do you know the best way to connect the 3300mp with less loss of quality ? HDMI (source) to M1 ? to VGA ? to S Video ? Best regards.

Hello, this is probably a late reply & you may have already found a solution, but for best quality through this projector, you have to go all digital. Yes, use a cable interface that is digital-to-digital, so perhaps something like a DVI-to-M1 interface. If you are using HDMI source, then perhaps HDMI-to-M1, if there is such a cable, or if not, then maybe HDMI-to-DVI-to-M1. M1 is the digital interface on the 3300. Next best interface is probably Component-to-VGA or something like that, which I also had with this projector. Personally I used the DVI-to-M1 interface, interfacing my 3300 to my computer & then played movies through some sort of media player, like GomPlayer. With a digital interface, every pixel is sharp. You could even use the video sharpening features on the media player, if it has any, to make the video even sharper. I did that & it was nearly as good as 720p, even though you were only playing at the max of 576p (because the 3300 is only XGA) if you are viewing 16:9 wide screen movies (anamorphic).
