I got this laptop 2 years ago and upgraded to 32gb of RAM and it has been one of my favorite laptops, its fast, small, and has good battery life. I also like the matte screen vs the glossy screen I had on my old Dell. This laptop is also very well built and strong. It is probably the most under rated used laptop and an absolute steal for under $200-300.

Nicely timed, my Latitude E7470 just crapped out yesterday with a corrupted hard disk after 4-5 years of faithful service and heavy abuse by me (besides the fact it was already refurbished to begin with). Had been looking at other laptops right before, guess it gave up the ghost when it saw that lmao. The lack of backlit keyboard was my biggest annoyance with it, this'll be a nice upgrade. Although, I'll miss the matte anti-glare screen, that was a sweet feature. And the ethernet port, never really used it but it was nice to have the option.

One thing of note is you have to disable the turbo boost function in the BIOS to prevent thermal throttling. 32GB of DDR4 laptop ram isn’t that expensive anymore with the release of DDR5, it’s nice that the storage and memory are expandable and not soldered to the board, and you have to install drivers on almost any used computer if you want to properly wipe any previous user’s information or even viruses, but 2GB ram usage for headphone software? You need to download the Waves Maxxaudio software from the Dell website (even if it’s the same version) and completely reinstall it. You should be using 4-5MB ram max. Looking around online this seems like a common issue but that wouldn’t be any reason to completely denounce an otherwise well built and affordable modern laptop. Hope this helps :)

I have issues with this laptop. I bought it yesterday 2nd hand > rubbery surfaces. It sticks to skin and feels disgusting > the screen cannot be fully opened. At most you can open it up to 100 degrees. The screen base touches against the floor. As a tall person, this is so not ergonomic
@RealElementProductions

@@jerricosagala2904 Return it if the rubber is sticky, it’s probably been left on a tabletop in the sun for years. You shouldn’t have that issue with any normal soft touch material for 8-12 years (or past the normal usability of the laptop). I remember the laptop opening a bit further than 100 degrees but it’s been a while since having this. There is a 2-in-1 model, albeit slightly more expensive. I believe the reason for the bottom of the display lifting the base off the ground is for cooling on a flat surface. Not too many places to put vents on such a thin machine!
