Hi Ron Sneijers, welcome to my videos. I'm really liking this new Precision 5540, been working on it for the last week or so. Just to let you know I am actually trying to get a hold of the Lenovo P1 Gen2 right now as it is the Precision 5540 real competitor so I can do a comparison between those two. As for jewelry display just wait for the in-depth review video hehe. Thanks for the feedback also.

TouchScreen is made active, or inactive in the bios. Great review, thanks. You said you can see the fan ? I think you are looking at the long vent, not the actual fan.

I didn't know that about the touchscreen configuration in BIOS I will look into that, thanks ಠ_ಠ . Yes you are so right I was meant to say "Vent hole" I keep having lost for words for the correct terminology, I will improve =).

hi great Video, i have a question, what would be weight of 4K version with 9 cell battery
@BsianTech
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Prashant Kumar, welcome to my videos. Unfortunetely I might not be able to answer your question exactly as Dell has given me a FHD version of the screen, would love to see the 4K on it, I will ask if it be possible. As for battery I had to check up the documentation and I don't see the option for 9 cell battery anymore, looks to be only 3 and 6 cell battery options. The 6 Cell is rated at 97WHr, which is the one I got so weight wise I might not be far away from your question for the beefed up version of it. I will put the weight in the in-depth review soon.

How does the AC adapter plug into the laptop. The barrel end of the cord is too large to fit in the power supply. Is it meant for a docking station?

Woahhh. At 7:50 You said the Hard Drive is a “PCMIE “ Sorry... Did you intend to describe the PCI-E interface ? I don’t think the name has an “m” in there. M.2 PCI Express It’s a bit confusing

Sorry mate its a bad habit of mine, I will make sure when the review video I get this one correct. It is M.2 PCIe =). Welcome to my Bsian language where I make a fusion of acronyms hahah.

I would be great they added a numberpad to the keyboard as there is room for it, this would also assist in making it more different to the XPS range too adding more business component to the workstation. Great suggestion Huy Võ, and hope Dell does something for the 5550.

Im already in discussion with dell to buy 5540... after watching ur video of indepth review i realise , battery capacity need to reduce to accomodate second hard disk.
@BsianTech

Hi milind sorkhade and welcome to my videos. I hope Dell sales did mention about the need to reduce the battery capacity if you are putting in a 2.5" SATA hard drive some of the sales do forget to mention this. They really need to ask question if you want to put in a second hard drive later on because it is an important change to the computer that would cost extra besides the upgrade. Thank you for your sub and feedback as well and I hope you get to enjoy our journey together on KZitem, learning and hopefully entertaining.

@@BsianTech Before watching ur video i specified 2 hard drives with 9 cell batrery. But they offered only 3 cell battery with 2 drives. I asked reason for reducing battery capacity and they coulnt answer. So i started finding answers and stumbled upon ur review and got the answer. Fact is there are very few people who does review on workstation laptops and machines. These are high end expensive machines and one need to understand every bit of it before spending money.

Look into the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 or Pro 9. If you want to stick with Dell then unless you getting a really good bargin look for a newer model because Intel and Nvidia have made big leaps in terms of performance and heat management.

Hi Hoàng Huỳnh Minh, the Precision 5540 in the video was a review unit from Dell. The specs it came with if I had to pay for it would have been about $5780 without the extended warranty.

Hi Bamwich, welceome to my videos. Yes the Precision 5540 and XPS15 do share the similar chassis. The 5540 is more higher spec of course and also the power port AC is full size rather than the tiny one that XPS love to have. In the corporate world the full size power port is wonderful to have.
