The only terminal that can be placed next to the Raspberry Pi4B, with dimensions, efficiency and energy consumption, and even the price.
Dell Wyse3040 has 2GB of soldered DDR3L 1600MHz RAM and 8GB of soldered eMMC Hynix H26M41204HPR flash memory
NO expansion options for RAM and flash drive - fortunately, it is possible to install the system on an SSD connected via USB 3.0
If you encounter a situation where after installing Linux Debian GRUB does not start, skip to 6:40 where I showed you how to fix it.
The terminal used is a Dell Wyse 3040 with a quad-core ATOM x5-Z8350 1.4-1.9 GHz processor
The thin client has:
- 2 Display Port ports,
- 3 USB 2.0 ports,
- 1 USB 3.0 port,
- 1 combo audio jack
- M.2 slot for WiFi card
The dimensions of the case are 10 x 10 x 3 cm
Power supply - 5V, 3A with 4x1.7mm plug without an additional pin
The power consumption for my unit running from SSD / USB is:
- idle: 4.5 [W]
- full CPU load: 6.8 [W]
- full GPU load: 9 [W]
