Ariana Grande can support those higher notes better and not strain like Demi. I'm a Demi fan however Ariana is clearly the better vocalist of this generation

Hi mate! The Ariana's highest supported note is a D5. Same for demi. Demi might not be a better vocalist than Ariana but it's not by this perspective things should be analyzed. Lemme try to explain it better...

I'm (we're) all aware that Demi's voice is so much heavier than the Ariana's one. It's not an excuse to justify the fact that her upper belt is strained. Whitney Houston also had a heavy voice but she still had a great supported upper belt (E5 - G5). The thing is that, the Demi's technic is just different and might not be the best or the most suitable (for someone else). I mean, Demi can still manage it with her voice and it's not unpleasant to hear... And, as a Demi's fan, u (we) can't deny that Demi has so many better G5 than this and they're so much technically difficult and powerful... I think about the 4 ever 4 me ascending scale - B4-D5-E5-F5-G5 - for example. Hope this helped...❤

@@kobbaleonard9043 despite popular belief, Ariana can support higher than D5. She has freedom, consistency, and vibrato up to G#5 and she doesn't push or strain until over G#5 which means that she supports up to G#5. Just watch @Grandeflamesbutera's video "Ariana Grande full support range" or watch @Camden's CVSS for Ariana Grande and then you'll know the truth.

@sandhyanagara not anymore. Demi used to push her voice since 2014 because she didnt want to keep her disney voice till nowdays. So pushing her voice was a way to manipulate her tone to sound like a woman, not like a baby, u know? Proof that what I'm saying is true is the dwtd album itself in which she does a LOT of low notes without manipulating her tone to sound more feminine (because at the time she was very firmly in the non-binary community)
