Her father was an alcoholic and was abusive towards demi and the rest of her family. It turned out he had bipolar disorder like demi does (‘i know you were a troubled man’ ‘you never got the chance to be yourself to be your best’)

Demi wears her heart on her sleeves thru song. This song reminds me of Kelly Clarkson's "Piece By Piece" which she wrote because of her father. Both talk of troubled relationships with their fathers and both songs are so different than Camila Cabello's "First Man" which talks of a positive relationship.

Demi’s dad left around when she was 5, but he would always pop back up and then just leave again. He was abusive, did drugs and Alcohol. Around 2010-2012 he tried to come back into her life, but then in 2013 he passed away from drugs and alcohol. You should REALLYYYY WATCH AND REACT!!! to her Documentary “Simply Complicated”. It tells you all about her life and what she has gone through. It’s beautiful!!.

Yes, it's the same guy from the Grammy's. God bless Steven! About her father, Patrick broke up with Diana (Demi's mother) when Demi was about 5 or something and then he NEVER showed up again until 2011, 2012. He was addicted to alcohol (what explains one of the reasons why Demi's addicted) and he passed away in 2014. This song was recorded back in 2015 almost as an open letter. She has more songs about her father that she unfortunately never sang live, these being For The Love of a Daughter from 2011's Unbroken album and Shouldn't Come Back from 2013's DEMI album. Maybe some of other songs are also about her father, but these are the ones everyone's sure about.

Now as to Demi Lovato singing this song, this was beyond amazing. I didn’t know much about her before this except seeing her on some “stars surprise fans” videos, and reading about her addiction and depression. But I was hooked on her after watching or seeing anyone live at the Grammys and also the Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl. I didn’t think she could do anything anywhere near as good as “anyone” live but this is every bit as good and powerful and the lyrics are mesmerizing. The way she can go from a soft voice and belt something out perfectly, astounds me. Keep reacting to her please. I truly hope she conquers her demons and keeps getting the help she needs and keeps growing.

I’ve been watching a lot of reaction videos lately mostly of comedians but I loved Demi Lovato’s live “anyone” at the Grammys so much I started watching reaction videos to that and that’s how I found you. I love the way you react, I love how do you stop it a lot and give a reaction, because that’s why I watch these things, to get your reaction. A lot of people watch the whole thing and don’t even “react”, even at the end, and then say “this was my reaction” and I’m saying to myself, where was the reaction? So please keep doing what you’re doing, I for one appreciate it. I also appreciate the fact you come across as a genuinely nice and caring person.

The ending that your cut off was one of the best parts because she ran over and told that girl that was crying at the beginning you need a hug and she ran over and hugged her. I don’t think you’ll get hit with any copyright because you pause the video a bunch of times. The only people I’ve seen that have complained that KZitem took their video off were the ones that don’t pause the performance at all and let it play all the way through so I think you’re fine with pausing it as much as you do and then just letting it play to the end. Your reactions are spot on and very entertaining by the way. I love your facial expressions and the way you express yourself!

Demi's biological father was an alcoholic. And that is who the song is about. This is not about her dad Patrick Demi clearly stated and her biography video That when she says father. And Dad they mean two very separate things. She always used father and birth father for the term of. Of the man who Help give birth to her. Patrick however, she says it's her dad. The song Father which is in this video is about her birth father.

Demis father was an alcoholic abf was abuse towards the family. Or as demi explained (he had a good heart, but when he started drinking he was completely different) and her father passed away. He died alone and that was demis fear too. That he was gonna die alone. So this song reallly has a powerful meaning

It angers me that Demi doesn't get enough credit or recognition for they're(Demi is nonbinary) gift compared to Selena Gomez(Who literally can't sing at all and that's not a diss or rumor I watched a clips of Gomez singing with her real voice and compared it to the autotune I heard when I was little).

Oh Kay She told you in the beginning that that’s what she likes to do, and she said if you don’t like it don’t let the door hit you on the way out. If you’re watching someone’s reaction you want to see their reaction, you don’t wanna watch the whole video straight through, if you wanna watch the whole video just go to the regular video and watch it.
