My dad has SCDS. He went almost 20 yrs without a diagnosis. Doctor after doctor told him he was crazy, that he wasn’t hearing his heartbeat, that he was just deaf. Finally he has a diagnosis, but the surgery is expensive and so risky it’s considered brain surgery. So he’s dealt with this condition. Finally had a small hole patched in a different part of his eardrum. He stopped hearing all his body noises but he also almost completely lost his hearing. Some drs when they leave medical school think the learning stops there and don’t do research on recent developments in medicine.

I've had pulsatile tinnitus for as long as I can remember plus I can feel bass that is coming from as far as 2 miles away in my body as vibrations. Drilling even in nearby apartments is enough to give me bad migraines that last for weeks and make me throw up constantly. Doctors have told me to wear ear plugs which cancel the sound outwards but does nothing for the vibrations I feel plus I have the exact same symptoms she does, all body sounds are greatly magnified and the doctors say there is nothing they can do and that they've never heard of my issue previously so I'm obviously lying. No relief from it. Any type of vibration, even someone throwing a ball against a wall outside me gives me migraines and vomiting.

@@annatribe4244 Please do research and find an ENT who knows about SCDS. My dad used to fall over with loud sounds and could barely drive because of the vibrations. That’s a very common symptom.

I just got diagnosed with this condition and it does make you feel like you’re crazy, and this doesn’t even cover the constant dizziness, the way you can’t walk because you have no balance, the extreme sensitivity to sound and light… and the sounds from inside your body are awful. I have four children and this illness has rendered me completely useless for two months now. It’s frustrating and heartbreaking and the surgery to fix it is terrifying.
