Damnit!!!! That does sound pretty frickin good. Shut up and Take my money. Again. I’ve got their Dual Gun, and was pleasantly surprised how not bad that sounded too. Gotta love some of the affordable clones. I think people having to pay $400-$700 for a bunch of resistors and capacitors that cost them $20-30 in parts (most often) and then charging THAT MUCH is just crazy.
@argbluesman
2 жыл бұрын
I agree. Some people like Mike Piera from AnalogMan do not charge ridiculous amounts. He charges fairly. But it is the hype created by people, and the long wait, that makes his pedals so expensive. The same with the Klon, which most of us cannot under no circumstance distinguish from a good clone. But there are other guys nowadays that are charging a lot of money for their pedals, and to me, it is not justified (mostly also because they aren't anything innovative, but just copies of something else). But again, people like to "hear" with their wallets, instead of their ears, and that makes some prices go crazy!

Right when the backing track starts there’s info about the signal chain. It’s a tom Anderson icon classic S. Yes, the gain boost switches are on for both channels. The rest is kinda stock I think. First channel overdrive and the second clean (in terms of internal switches).

Thanks for posting. Love your videos. Unrelated question but I have a two notes cab m+ to pair with an aracom attenuator as a load box and I also have an audio ox coming in as well to compare both and decide between the two. Have you ever tried the two notes with another attenuator or load box aside from the audio ox? The audio ox is expensive and I do have a great attenuator to use as a load box but I heard that other load boxes don’t match really well.
@argbluesman
2 жыл бұрын
The universal audio is not just an attenuator. Attenuation is one of its capabilities but not the main one. It’s a speaker and cab simulator, room simulator, mic simulator, with reverb, delay, compressor, eq… it’s much much more than any of the other ones you mentioned. But it depends on your needs of course.

There is way too much emphasis on gear and not enough on songwriting, creativity, originality and talent. But to the point of the video, the pedal sounds good.
