For one test, or a few tests at different tracks. The suppliers can do it, both make made-to-order wheels and tires all the time for boutique manufacturers, or even private customers. Dear Denny Hamlin, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the decision you made during the recent race that ultimately cost me my parlay. Your choice to pit your car with only 2 laps to go had a significant impact on the outcome of the race, allowing Ryan Blaney to gain positions and ultimately taking yourself out of contention. The pit stop that dropped you from 4th to 11th was a tough blow for both you and I . As someone who had placed their trust in you for a successful outcome, it was disheartening to see the potential victory slip through our hands. I understand that racing is a high-pressure environment with split-second decisions to be made, but I urge you to consider the impact of such choices on not only your own performance but but think of us here at home on our couch. Your talent and skill on the track are undeniable, and I believe that with more strategic decision-making, you can achieve even greater success in the future. I will see you in Dover, but until you get your act together, don’t come anywhere near me. I hope that this feedback is taken constructively and that you can learn from this experience to come back stronger in the upcoming races. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

It would be great if Goodyear, at least for the short term (that being any remaining short tracks and road courses this season) took the wet weather tire compound and just made it with straight lateral groves like what F1 used to use. Throw in a couple extra sets of tires for each race weekend and I don't see how the racing would be as awful as it has been at those tracks. Definitely would be a band-aid fix but its something that would really be needed either way, regardless of any other changes to the cars.

@erickrebs2407

Tire wear is up to Goodyear. I hope they take it seriously and build a tire that will fall off/wear, the tire is the answer.As for more HP, it's the cost associated with increasing HP that is holding NASCAR back. If they increase it by say 100HP, then won't cost much, but also wouldn't help. With the current tire, they would need at least 1000HP and that much power would break components. Transaxle, drive shafts, half shafts, toe links and suspension components to name a few. Those components would need to be made stronger which would cost a lot.

NASCAR and the tracks are so short sighted on this. The growth and popularity of the sport (or any sport) is tied to the popularity of the athletes. At NASCAR's rise and peak, a handful of drivers were known to the average person whether they followed the sport or not. The ask of the sponsors was not so big that they couldn't justify sponsoring a full season and using the driver as a brand representative in regular commercials. So, sponsors promoted the drivers and there was consistency in the recognition of each driver, drivers didn't have a different look every week. The key to boosting the popularity and success of the sport, adding revenue to all stakeholders, is supporting the teams with a financial base that allows them to have one primary sponsor on their car for the full season. That sponsor will be invested enough to want to promote the driver outside of the NASCAR audience. Various rules could be put in place to support this ands avoid repeating mistakes of the past. Make it a rule that a team must have one sponsor for the hood for the season, maybe a second sponsor for the sides. Cap the price a sponsor can pay for that representation, if they want to pay more, there's a split between the team and NASCAR. Teams could still represent minor sponsors with no limitations. This would keep teams from chasing more and more dollars from their sponsors and effectively moderate their ability to spend.

Denny destroyed dude. Championships in nascar are hard to get, im a chase fan but i will say denny should probably have multiple chips. It seems he runs top 10 or top 5 every week for as long as hes been in nascar. Whoever marcus smith is needs to shut up and start producing better tracks and quit trying to go at drivers. I think denny was trying to be helpful but it got blown up into something else. Nascar is goin through enough as it is. Go Chase tho!! Fans of nascar appreciate Denny hamlins deep down. Keep advocating for the sport.

NASCAR can play with aerodynamics and tires all they want, but nothing is going to have significant changes to racing until they up the horsepower. Drivers want it, fans want it, and teams say they can do it without significant cost. It is understandable to not jack the hp all the way back to 1000 (that would be awesome), something in the 750-800 range should be agreeable.

The horsepower is holding these cars back. They are too sporty to have this amount of horsepower

Love the show. Wouldn’t mind a better studio setup. Great show regardless
