The Denver Broncos just got some difficult news... no not with Tim Patrick...but instead a player we were counting on to fill in for Justin Simmons. In the first day of official NFL Training Camp for the Denver Broncos, we get news that presumed starting safety Brandon Jones left the field with a hamstring injury and did not return for the rest of practice. This is bad news because of how perfectly he fit this Vance Joseph and Jim Leonhard system, the youthful energy he and PJ Locke were going to bring as former Texas Longhorns was going to be fun to watch. Hopefully the prognosis is good and he only misses a few practices and we will keep you up to date right here. If he is out for a considerable amount of time, do we try to make it work with JL Skinner and PJ Locke or do we need to find a safety on another 53 or consider calling up Justin Simmons?
We also cover Michael Bandy and his potential of making this squad and discuss how he could be a great change of pace receiver for this Sean Payton passing attack.
