Followed Boxing for like 30 Years boy to man and this is great sparring footage between Deontay Wilder and Filip Hrgovic, who was 19 Years Old at the time and Not even a Professional Boxer... I think Hrgovic had just competed in recent times at the 2012 Olympics Games, which were held in London... Watching Deontay spar in the footage, you can definitely see a number of key things, which Won him the World Heavyweight Title against a fighter who was big, tough game and durable at the time in 2016(Bermane Stiverne), but who was never fully World Class and certainly not an Elite Boxer, as further history has since provided evidence to support... This evidence also shows just how and why, when a Match Fit Tyson Fury faced Deontay Wilder in February 2020 in Las Vegas, USA, he beat Deontay so comfortably and even forced the Stoppage, which was a major surprise to me and especially the Bookies... Answer, when observing the footage, Filip Hrgovic at 19 Years old, is a more rounded, naturally gifted Heavyweight Boxer with stronger fundamentals than Deontay Wilder was at that stage of his Professional Boxing Career... Everything Deontay does involves him setting up a massive Right Hand, which is from the Gods by the way, but the sparring shows Deontay has very little head movement, gets hit way too much, struggles to Box well when going backwards, as his balance looks kinda clumsy and finds distance control with his footwork hard to establish... Anybody watching this would surely have placed bets on Tyson Fury by Stoppage in Rounds 7 - 10, even as a cover bet, as his odds on the night were 50/1 across each of those Rounds, for that method of victory pre bout... I guess you just had to be convinced by Tyson Fury's pre bout statements of intent... I strongly wonder whether he, or someone in his team had seen this footage... 🤔🧐👏🥊👊💯👍You can definitely see the threat that Filip Hrgovic now poses to the Heavyweight Division too... He was excellent in his teens, when fighting and Boxing in the major Amateur competitions, but he his also now excelling as a Professional and he his also slowly moving towards the top of the food chain within the current Heavyweight Division now... I personally would like to see Hrgovic fight either of Michael Hunter, Sergey Kuzmin, or Kuzmin's most recent opponent, Martin Bakole, who Michael Hunter has previously beaten by the way, as this next step would be an excellent test of Filip Hrgovic and his World class potential credentials 💯🤔🥊👊👍 Make it happen, time for Filip to either progress further up the ladder to the pot of Gold, or at least get to know his level and potential ceiling in the Sport 🥊🥊Other fighters who Team Sauerland should be looking to match Filip against are Charles Martin, Gerald Washington or Michael Polite Coffie, as fights against these 3 would also have a similar affect to the previous 3 mentioned, but the later 3 would introduce Filip further to the American audience 👊👊

@@Horvatinjo1983 Fair play, I wasn't aware that Hrgovic and Michael Hunter had signed to fight, but a fight between the pair would be an excellent clash and Michael Hunter would be receiving a fantastic opportunity from taking the fight too... I rate both Heavyweight Boxers extremely highly and consider both as serious Contenders for an eventual shot at a World Title... I think Hrgovic would beat Hunter due to his natural Heavyweight attributes, height, reach, size, power, amateur experience, confidence, slightly higher natural ability... But I also think that Hunter would give Hrgovic an excellent run for his money... 🤔🧐🤑💯👊🥊👍

They were used to fighting the best at all times even though it's prize fighting. But in this era, you get a much more comfortable journey where you fight once or twice a year and it's extremely rare if the opponents are good... Yeah, and George Foreman and Mike Tyson and Sonny Liston and Joe Frazier and so on wouldn’t be that great either without their power... oh wait, it’s fucking HW boxing and power is a big deal (this is all sarcastic... the guys I listed above are obviously ATGs). And while we’re at it, if Ali wasn’t as fast or didn’t have such good footwork he wouldn’t be that great. If Fury and Joshua and the Klirschko brothers weren’t so tall they wouldn’t be that great... see? You can do that and say that about anything. If Michael Jordan couldn’t jump ridiculously high and far and fly through the air he wouldn’t be that great

To spar like this at heavyweight takes an insane level of fitness and ability. Consider that less than 1% of people in the world box. At the least, 99% of people would get in there, panic and thrown their load, and gas out. It's just human nature no matter how you think you would go. Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali both have stories of gassing out when they were young even. Respect Wilder because it's a lot harder than you think moving your absolute fastest and throwing hard, taking hard punches, trying to make your opponent miss and make him pay, hands up, in and out, weaving - focusing so closely that you need someone to remind you to breath. Doing all that the first time, people tense up incredibly, like never before, sensing impeding doom if they don't perform right now and people just simply, and universally, forget to breathe, forget to keep the chin down, open their mouth etc etc. So many big obvious mistakes happen. It needs to be practised like a monk if you're trying to do it at the top level. You jokers criticising him should wake up and have a go at sparring a professional heavyweight over 6ft 5.

Can't believe Thiers so many people on here dissing, dnt you know that sparring is different to being in a real pro fight ,if you think deonty was trying 10 out of 10 you need to learn about the sport ,if a man that's levels above is gonna help a prospect, he's not gonna knock chunks out of him, think about it ,wilder can knock fury down twice, but couldn't knock this guy down ,cause they were sparring, and he's holding back.😂 Or he would've thrown loads of looping rights.
