0:53 - How to go to the airport
Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport has four terminals. To find out which terminal your flight departs from, check your flight booking confirmation.
Manila city is relatively close to the Airport. Located in the neighboring city of Pasay, the airport is approximately 11 kilometers from the city center. Taxi or e-hailing ride like Grab is the most convenient and fastest option to get to the airport. It takes around 20-45 minutes, and costs between 250 to 350 pesos. There are buses, train and jeepneys that stop near the airport, but you may have to walk or take another short ride to the terminal. The cost is about 20 - 40 pesos.
Arrive at least 3 hours before an international flight.
Upon arriving at NAIA, Make sure you have your flight booking or e-ticket and passport ready for the initial security check before entering the airport terminal.
1:52 - Check-in
Most airlines offer online check-in services, and if you use them, you may queue in the web check-in line. If you haven’t checked in online, proceed to your airline’s regular check-in counter. This queue is usually longer and slower.
The agent will verify your identity by matching your passport with your booking. They will then ask you to place your bags on the weighing scale one by one to ensure they meet the airline’s weight requirements. Be aware that Hazardous items are prohibited. You'll then receive your boarding pass.
Some airlines provide kiosks for self-check-in and printing your boarding pass.
2:31 - Immigration
After checking in, proceed to passport control / Immigration. You'll need your passport and boarding pass. The officer may ask a few questions about your trip.
2:39 - Security Screening
You'll go through security screening. Remove metal objects, belts, and sometimes shoes. Laptops and large electronics should be placed in separate bins.
Follow the signs to your boarding gate. Boarding usually begins 30-45 minutes before the flight, so keep an eye on the monitors for any updates or changes.
Boarding
When boarding is announced, line up according to your seat number or boarding group. Have your boarding pass and passport ready for final inspection before you enter the aircraft.
