people will always say this is 80s type of music but I really think this type of music is waaay ahead of their time. Even today Depeche Mode with Alan Wilder is revered as cutting edge. It's futuristic looking breaking new grounds. In 50 years we'll still be so amazed the music DM produces.

@@h.s.7797 it’s the truth. you do understand that synthesizers and ambiance music is now mainstream in movies and music? DM’s 80s and 90s music was very much ahead of their time.

@@DxModel219 True. It's truly out of this world. Some 80s synth pop was just mind altering. Like Blue Monday from New Order. Another classic. Light years ahead of its time.

They were the 80's. You had to be there to know it. After the 80's synths and computers were nothing g new to us. Most new music just continued to use them and it doesn't sound like anything new.

It's very interesting to me watching these early concerts of theirs. Dave really matured and developed massive stage presence and confidence between this and the concert they did in Hamburg, about 18 months later. Completely agree. To your point about the growth between this and the Hamburg show, I think that it definitely.had something to do with Alan’s involvement and the recording of and subsequent “Construction Time Again” tour in that they knew they how far they had come in a short period of time and were then, just beginning to hit their stride.
