Better bring up Taeian, because he was only dude on the forums talking about the same crazy shit that Derek is way, way back in the old forum days. Taeian is one of those people that Derek is saying "no one knows about." The camel is finally coming out of the desert. Thanks, Leo, for trekking through the desert to show the world Taeian after all the work he's done. Derek is the logical progression of that, and making a platform to actually build the future of AAS and health, longevity, &c. Would love to see the union that the world doesn't deserve, but the future needs-- Taeian and Derek. An unstoppable combo, slaying the murky past of steroids with the crystal-clear future

Love what you said about growing up saturated with the presence of females. There was no lack of females in my life at all since birth, and I never had any anxiety with women, whether sexually or not. I have been with my wife since I was 15 or so, and it's great, almost 15 years later. I know so many males that have female-issues that never affected me, and most of them lacked positive female presence throughout their lives.

I've never listened to much of Derek's "more dates" side, but I really like what he said about packing in a dense immersion of sexual social experience at a young age. I had similar results, but did it between the ages of 14-17, instead of college-age. I'm still listening-- pausing to type this-- and have to state that I don't believe that I would be able to approach women the same way that I have had I waited until I achieved outside success before developing those skills. My financial situation never affected my internal social experience-- maybe it affected others' perception of me in those situations, but I neither suffered nor gained anything socially based on my financial status, at least not experientially in the actual outcome of it.

27:45 I love this perspective and I think he's totally right. Game and PUA frankly don't really work that well in 2020 among the younger generation where women outearn men and are able to mostly just pick the best looking man rather than requiring any sort of provision. Looks are just way more important. BUT that doesn't mean game/pua are not worth pursuing; if you "practice" the most terrifying and social anxiety inducing interactions you could have, approaching very attractive young women and having improvised conversations with them, all other social anxiety inducing situations like job interviews, presentations, and public speaking suddenly become easy by comparison. It's like if you can do 20 bodyweight pullups, you will easily be able to max out the stack on lat pulldowns or whatever.

@@LeoandLongevity Yeah, it was news to me! Also great podcast by the way, the cholesterol point you touched on was very interesting as it relates to myself somewhat too, although I’ll look into if I have the certain polymorphisms later today. I’ve had astronomically high LDL and lipoprotein levels and low HDL levels since I was a kid and it’s the same on TRT, some of the supplements I help me to some degree (bergamot, curcumin, EPA/DHA, ubiquinol etc) but in my case of familial hypercholesterolemia, no one in my large immediate family seems to have ever had any cardiovascular events into their old age irrespective of poor lifestyle choices such as alcohol consumption, obesity, hypertension and so on. It remains a mystery to me but you’re likely right on the fact that there may be certain polymorphisms at play here.

@@LeoandLongevity Also I’d love to see a video by you on the effects of AAS on the cardiovascular system sometime down the line as it’s a topic which I feel many AAS users disregard completely. In the research there are some cases of deaths being attributed to AAS use where they weren’t attributed to thrombotic or atherosclerotic events, or heart failure but rather the effect AAS can have on the sympathetic nervous system and myocardial necrosis and fibrosis, leading to a arrhythmia and subsequently SCD. It’s a very rare occurrence but one which isn’t talked about anywhere outside of a few research papers. These individuals also didn’t have any existing arrhythmias either funnily enough. It’s something which has somewhat deterred me from using PEDs in the future since I read those papers.

This is gonna sound completely ridiculous but I was so introverted that I never really had a social circle at all. Cold approaching women was the only option I had and since I was tired of being lonely, and trying to make friends was just as intimidating as trying to get dates, I wasn't particularly nervous about approaching women. I've had a few girls this way as a result. It's interesting to hear how foreign this experience is to others lmao
