Thanks for playing! Excellent early game guide, and a very clean starter base. I fixed the bug where the enemies run away from you forever in a recent patch too 😅

Oh hey it's the big man himself! How nice of you to drop by! If you like this starter base, you'll have to check out the next episode coming out soon. This one was way too messy for my taste :D

Idk, given it's a Unity game and looks like it's made to play on an iPad, and Unity is going out of business given the choices the company made to fleece its own devs... I wonder. Then again, given I liked Valheim until the vertical area of the map, I'll watch you play even though I so dislike the iPhone like graphics level of the game unlike anything Unreal engine can produce, like Satisfactory... Then again DSP uses Unity and I like the look and gameplay of Dyson Sphere Program... but it doesn't have this indie low graphics look... I tried to learn C# making unity games and it was a horror show. So maybe it's my Unity PTSD that is biasing my inferences atm... I think the graphics are more about my ability to make 3D models and animations, and less to do with Unity 😅. The game was built with Unity DOTS though so it can handle quite large and complex factories. You may enjoy it if you like DSP!

@@nevergamesdev No. I've worked with both. Unity has the weirdest ecosystem with textures and meshes I've ever seen. I started out as a texture artist sculpting in ZBrush, using DCCs (NOT the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders...ffs) like C4D, Maya, 3dstudio Max, and Blender... UE4 (I haven't worked with 5, because AI... will make everything soon enough) was a pain in the butt, but at least workable. Unity, from it's layout, to it's importation of assets, to it's working with assets, to it's texturing and using assets to react to game triggers was fk'ing hell. In fact, on the Unity discord, there were devs thinking about ending it all they couldn't get the stuff to work. Now I wasn't a programmer, even though I have an adv degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics... (yeah, how did that happen, huh?) so I thought it was me, but if the devs that could program couldn't get their shite to work, it turned out: it wasn't me (kzitem.info/news/bejne/1KmM0GlmqJ-TlII) I haven't been on the Unity discord for years... maybe the ppl that are left don't want to off themselves... or were waxinated... I came to the conclusion the main source of income for Unity Inc. was sending out "fixers" to devs to fix the stuff, because the required insider knowledge is restricted and that's the only way to get a game to work. Would you know if the Unity "fixers" were consulted for this game too? I'm curious.

@@nevergamesdev I will try the game when it comes out, I think I have a set of games that I can play until our oligarchs end us all but the 500 million remnant they talked about on the Georgia Guidestones... we're scheduled, or their timetable is the end of 2015 according to General Deagle now deceased. I can always make room for another... I just wish the graphics were a little better, cause after a year of sculpting Bare Naked Ladies using ZBrush, my eye is just super trained to detail... Almost 8hrs a day for a little over a year until "I got it..." my thoughts becoming my technique.

Definitely had this one on my radar since the demo, I’m also really happy to see it has Mac support, I have a boot camp install but it’s always great to see devs support Mac too (so I don’t have to restart as much!). Makes me that much more inclined to buy it.

Not sure that I would play it myself, however it does look interesting. Would enjoy watching a full playthrough and see how you optimize things. In particular, bigger factories. Seeing a full production-chain station, hmmm!

I'm enjoying the hell out of this game right now since playing the demo a while ago, I'm glad you made a video on it! It keeps making me completely lose track of time until way too late at night and designing space stations feels fundamentally different compared to many other factory games.
