I've had my RB3 now for about 1 year. Best knife I've ever used. The 3 inch blade makes it very easy to control for carving, making notches or any intricate bush craft projects. Highly recommend the RB3.

Good to hear the design rationale behind a particular blade , especially from the one who designed it . Patrick is right , you really " hit this one out of the park " . Thanks Reuben , for designing such a well thought out , super functional , ergonomic and very aesthetically pleasing knife . I think it would make a great companion blade to an Esee 6 , or perhaps even a Junglas . ATB

Excellent video. It is really helpful and gratifying to see the designer of a blade discussing his ideas incorporated into the product. Thank You!

I recently picked one of these up. Liked it so much I bought 2. Shaving sharp out of the box. Feels good in hand. Had a nice sharp 90°spine with scraping a ferro rod and making fluff. Nice leather sheath too. No complaints whatsoever. I hope Esee produces some more scandi grind knives.

Love my RB3! Fits my system realy good. Togheter with a bigger blade with a difrent grind in my pack, I have a good system for most tasks when I hit them woodlands. The RB3 feels great in the hands! The Blade length is not to big, the weight is good but dont feel to heavy om your belt. Scandi grind for this size - yes! Cheers from Sweden 🇸🇪🇺🇸

I got one a few weeks back and so far I'm very pleased with it...and I don't see that changing. It's a very comfortable knife with a great blade geometry. It's a good bush knife as a large blade isn't really necessary in my opinion. 1095 is a great steel that takes a laser edge.

I got a sherade SECH36 and soon realised that "survival knives" are dog doo. I modified it, taking most of the coating off, faltening the spine, and changing the edge angle to as close to a skandi as i could get on a hollow grind. It is now easier to sharpen, and carves so much better, and i will put it through its paces battoning to see how the edge holds up. You too can buy a $50 1095 steel blade and make it into a real bushcraft knife, u just need a file, sharpening tool and fine grit paper to polish the scratches out.

Reuben has a great Goat, it's no wonder he designed a great knife! I believe too that a scandi-edge isn't just for carving.

I have one and find it to be a very good small camp knife. My only complaint is the blade is an advertising billboard on both sides of the blade. Couldn't that information be placed on an insert with the knife?

with use that logo will fade....but it is OUR knife and our logo so it seems fitting that we display our logo on our own product.

Indeed, it is YOUR knife and YOU can do with it as You choose and of course YOU don't have to listen to a customer if YOU don't want to. Your puffed up arrogance is evident on YOUR knife and YOUR reply to me. I must correct myself. Former customer.

Steff Fermé it’s a zero scandi. No micro bevel. Set the stone on the edge and take a pass. Or you can strop it.

You can really tell if someone has experience with a knife if they put their thumb on the spine of a knife. It is not secure, dangerous and you have no control, thank you for demonstrating that.

Quequechan Bushcraft I'd say it depends on the task and blade size. With some smaller carvers and such I like to use my thumb.
