That’s brilliant, Steve, that’s the BEST brush making video I’ve seen - from anyone! I’ll have to have a go. There is so much in AR6 that I don’t know. Oh, and you have an easy-to-understand accent.

Hi Patrick, Thanks a lot. Having a go is the best way. I worked out how to create the brushes in a couple of hours. Watercolour brushes will be my next challenge

Thank you so much Steve. This helped me. I am new to ArtRage, and I kept clicking on new preset and then creating a brush, but it never saved into it. Now I understand that you have to adjust the settings first and then click on new preset!

Steve I made a brush and did all the edits and clicked ok. I then opened the brush and nothing was there. I must be missing a step. I thought after you click ok, then the settings saved and you were able to use the brush and change it at anytime and use it right then. Ideas please. My brush will be very nice for hills and valley coverings and when I get it done I want to share it with you as you did for us with yours. Thanks much.

I seem to remember having the same problem. If I remember correct it was something I missed at the beginning of the process not the end. Sorry I can’t be more specific than that without knowing exactly what you are doing

thanks for the tutorial. could you make some about howmto deal with the thickness? do you spread it around and stuff after? is there a function to "bake" it in to,prevent spreading, etc. ?

Hi grymmjack, you can try scraping off the thick paint with a palette knife. If you want to keep the thick texture and paint over it simply create a new layer. I cant recall a feature to dry the canvas

I’m guessing I can’t do my own brush design in my iOS version of ArtRage. I only have an iPad Pro. Time to take a deep dive into KZitem.

Hi Greg, unfortunately you cant. However, Procreate and Art Studio have excellent brush engines that allow you to create you're own brushes. I have free brushes on my website for both apps

Thanks Steve this was really helpful. Just a quick question how do you go about printing something done in AR.as there is no colour management? My head is hurting from all the info I have been reading so I thought I would ask an expert . No worries if your flat strapped as I appreciate all that you do.

I have done colour management in the past, but to be honest, that was a while ago. With Artrage I upload directly to Redbubble and the colours look really good. So I don't worry about it too much, unless I'm working on some corporate design. I guess you could import the image to an app that supports colour management and do it that way.

Hi Steven, I use a free piece of software called Streamlabs OBS. This allows me to overlay multiple displays e.g. monitor window, app window, webcam etc. I have a green screen behind me when I record, so it's pretty easy to do the overlay

How about a list starting from 1)and then go on. I love what you do, but egads mate, you lost me with things like “but first go back” and the like. When you do this you must read fom a script and have a full screen. Many of your fans, of which I am one, get antsy. I view this on my eye phone and it becomes an eye test. That said I love what you do

Saving and organising brushes in artrage 6 is a pain in the arse and no tilt/aspect control for custom brushes, Rubbish.
